What it's all about
'Thought 4’ is an aptly-named social responsibility initiative we and our friends have started as part of our ‘THOUGHT CAMPAIGN’ launched earlier this year. It’s often the case that you contribute toward a charitable cause, and although you have faith that good has come of it, you never really see the tangible end result of what you did. So we are going to do things a little differently and make sure that you can see the positive affect your efforts have had on others. As a band, we're offering up our time to be the delivery and promotional mechanism for our combined efforts toward making a difference. We're no-nonsense guys, and are going to take a no-nonsense stance, so here goes...
We are going to change the world. Yes, you heard us right! We are going to change the world, and you can help us to help others. It’s as simple as that! And why not? We don’t believe in “Can’t” or “It won’t make a difference” - absolute nonsense! Every little thing that you or I do, if it makes a difference to one person in need for just one moment, then it’s changed their world, made OUR world a better place, and therefore was well worth the effort! That’s all the reason we need to fuel us... and hopefully you too!
We’re not interested in scepticism, or the long list of excuses that come up... there are no excuses. If you’re better off than someone else, then why not make a positive impact and give them a tiny piece of what you are so blessed with; like Food, Clothes and Warmth... pass it forward. We believe that if you’re blessed with any of the above (and yes, in this day and age it is a 'blessing' and not a 'given'), then all we ask is that you share just a little, and help us to help others to experience the same joy, even if only for a short while. No matter what happens, the one thing that those in need will experience is the feeling that other people DO in fact care, and that they are willing to do something about it.
How you can help
To get involved, simply email us your details so we can add you to our 'supporters list'. Then keep an eye on our website for updates, or check your inbox regularly for email updates from us with information about monthly projects or specific causes we will be focusing our energy on next. Then, if you think you have something to contribute, tell us how you would like to help and get involved. Don’t worry... we won’t send you any soppy spam - just the relevant info you need to take part.
How it will work
The process will of course evolve and develop over time, as we are at the grass-roots stage with this - but depending on how much support we are able to pull together, we will have a centralised venue for storage and consolidation. All the tangible contributions (No money) that have been offered as a contribution relevant to any one cause at any given time, for example ‘THOUGHT 4 Warmth’... a ‘blanket drive’ in a winter month... will be stored together, and with the help of some of our supporters or sponsors, we will all dig in and go deliver the total sum of our collection efforts to a pre-agreed beneficiary once a month. That’s about it... simple, practical, EASY! We need to find someone willing to offer up some free and secure storage space, and then perhaps a small transport company or something to get all the goodies to the destination would also be great. Can you help? Or can you put us in touch with someone? Or anyone who knows someone? Hey... where there’s a will, there’s a way!
True charity is the desire to be useful to others without thought of recompense.
